The band Journey is the musical equivalent to Paul Rudd. You probably know someone who likes them, sometimes they will even offer some misguided explanation of how good they think they are in their defense. But deep down inside, you feel a very strong sense of pity for these individuals, because you know, and they know, just how horrible their tastes in entertainment are. You need to be the hero and, politely as to not hurt any feelings, explain to them that both are embarrassments to their respective professions and occupy the lowset possible rung on the talent ladder. Or... and this most probably much easier on everyone involved; simply acknowledge their overwhelming shittiness as a human being for liking such crap and avoid them until the end of time.
