The beginning of another week. My father is dying of lung cancer, (he is in NO pain, 87 years old ... and my brother is moving to Florida to help our mother take care of our father.) He is in end of life mode ... stopped eating, is unresponsive. Another week or so of life? All funeral preparations have been made. A really, really, really ... weird/new experience for me. The death of a parent? Sorta like ... having to come to grips with ... no safety net? Interesting statement of the human condition ... a 66 year old ... still viewing his parents as a safety net??
