The best oatmeal cookies in the history of cookiedom. 1 cup butter (dont sub out margarine or spread...butter means butter) 3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons cinnamon 4 1/2 cups rolled oats (old fashioned or quick cooking) (Uncooked) 2 cups milk chocolate chips 1 cup chopped walnuts. Heat Oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon; mix well. Add oats, chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool a minute or 2 on baking sheet before removing wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 4 dozen good sized cookies. Note: You could use 1 cup of raisins in place of the chocolate chips, but why would you wanna mess up my awesome cookies like that? Shame on you for even considering it.
