The bible teaches and use words that are detrimental to our fellowship with the Father and the Son.. And it’s the Doctrine that were to continue in ,, abide in,, It’s the teachings from the father, to the son that were given by inspiration to his apostles ,, words given by the holy spirit,, It’s the same as the gospel,, , the same as the faith,, and were to hold it fast.. Stand in it.. Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine Abiding in and continuing in the doctrine of Christ, which is the apostle’s doctrine guarantees our fellowship with the father and the son... The apostle Paul said, in 2john 1:9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. The apostle John say 1 Jn 1:1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, they are eyewitness of the Christ... He goes on to say which we have seen with our eyes, Which we have looked upon, And our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— 2 the life was manifested and we have seen, and bear witness, And declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. Jesus said in john 12: and beginning in verse 48, 48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. 49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me, Here’s the idea, the Father who sent me, the father sent Jesus in to the world... with purposes to achieve and command him what to say and speak... ((The Father)) Has gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. Now if the father commanded Jesus, what to say and speak, We ought to listen to Jesus... Because when we listen to Jesus, were listening to the father, who sent him, with the word... And Jesus told his apostles, that whoever receives you, receives me, john 13:20 20 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; And he, who receives Me, receives Him who sent Me.” So here’s the Father, who sent the son, and the son who sent his apostles. And we need to listen to the apostles... By doing that, were listening to Jesus, You know some people want to say, well, that’s just Paul, That’s just peter, That’s not Jesus... Yes it is Jesus, Inspired by the spirit of god, they speak the words of Jesus, and we need to listen to them... Because were listening to the son, and it was the Father who sent him... But now look what Jesus goes on to say, 50 I know that His command, the fathers commandments are everlasting life. That’s something you and I need. STAND FAST IN THE FAITH, 1Co 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2Th 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle IF YOU WILL NOTICE IN HEBREWS THE 3rd CHAPTER, VS 12 THESE TROUBLE HEBREWS-- WHO HAD OBEYED THE GOSPEL ARE BEING TEMPTED TO RETURN TO THE PRACTICES OF JUDISM. AND IN VS 12 HE SAID Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; WHAT ARE THEY TO HOLD FAST TOO? THEY ARE TO HOLD FAST TO THE GOSPEL, THESE WERE TEMPTED TO BE MOVED AWAY FROM THE GOSPEL, BUT TO HOLD FAST TO IT, TO HOLD FAST TO THE TRADITIONS,, THAT HAD BEEN DELIVERED BY THE APOSTLES,, AS WE CAN READ IN 2THESS 2:15 2Th 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. THE APOSTLE WRITING TO THE PHILIPPIANS IN CHAPTER 1:27 READING BEGINNING AT VS 27 SAID UNTO THEM Phil 1:27 Only let your conversation (ONLY LET YOUR MANNER OF LIFE) be as it becometh Walking worthy ,, a conduct that brings glory/honor to god the father.. 27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, STAND FAST IN THE FAITH, WELL WHAT IS THE FAITH? THE FAITH INCLUDES ALL THE PRINCIPALS SET FORTH IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, EVERYTHNG THAT GOD HAS REVEALED, TURN TO 1 CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 15 WE NOTED THIS IN OUR STUDY LAST EVENING.. 1st Corinthians the 15th CHAPTER BEGINNING AT VS. 1 1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. STANDING FAST! STANDING FAST IN WHAT? PAUL SAID,, THE GOSPEL (THE WORD WHICH I PREACHED UNTO YOU) STAND FAST IN THE FAITH. I WANT TO SUGGEST TO YOU THAT THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST,, INCLUDES EVERYTHING THAT CHRIST AND THE NEW TESTAMENT APOSTLES,, TAUGHT. 1 thess. 2:12 walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory
