The book of Enoch is not part of the cannon of Scripture, however - TopicsExpress

The book of Enoch is not part of the cannon of Scripture, however many people in Jesus time read from it and memorized it. (The Ethiopian Bible still contains this apocryphal book) In fact the Bible quotes from this book in Jude 14. Although this book is NOT Cannon, nor should it be treated as such, it does, however, contain parallels found in the Scriptures and it is worth taking a historical look at the evidence found in this book. Here is the example we find in Jude… Jude 14-15, “Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, “Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” Here is the quote–that Jude spoke of–found in Enoch ii, xxvi 2: “Behold, he comes with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon them, and destroy the wicked, and reprove all the carnal for everything which the sinful and ungodly have done and committed against him. … [who utter with their mouths unbecoming language against God, and speak harsh things of his glory.]” *Note – There are additional parallels found in the book of Enoch. Now, that Ive given a basic backing to the book of Enoch, let’s get back to issue at hand. Considering the watcher angels were bound, by God, around 3,000 B.C. and are due to be released after seventy generations (per the book of Enoch). If my calculations are correct that would mean that seventy generations x 70 years would put us in the 1900’s. This is the exact time that we began witnessing an explosion of knowledge, weaponry, world wars, technology, and immorality. In my opinion, it would appear that they have INDEED been released. Enoch 10:12 says: ...bind them fast for seventy generations in the valleys of the earth, till the day of their judgement and of their consummation, till the judgement that is for ever and ever is consummated. Additionally, the book of Daniel tells us that knowledge will increase in the latter days (Daniel 12:4). Could this be due to the fact that watcher angels are sharing their information with the masses? Especially considering the 5,000 year gap between their last release (3,000 BC) and now. I mean think about it, for 5,000 years we saw minor advances in technology; people used nothing more than horseback, boat, carriage and walking to get around. Since the 1900’s we have now entered into a new age of cars, planes, rockets, and we are even traveling to the moon, in a little less than 200 years! https://youtube/watch?v=PH-EGayst8U#t=31
