The camp of Vice President Jejomar Binay on Thursday said Senator - TopicsExpress

The camp of Vice President Jejomar Binay on Thursday said Senator Antonio Trillanes should issue a public apology for sullying the reputation of the Pag-IBIG Fund as an institution in an effort to boost his ratings. Atty. Rico Quicho, the new political spokesman of the vice president, said Trillanes has no evidence that will prove his allegations that Binay favored certain contractors in construction deals with the Pag-IBIG Fund for the governments housing projects. For his part, Trillanes said he has no intention of apologizing either to Pag-IBIG or the vice president. Definitely not. They wont get any apology from me. Its a communications strategy, he said in a separate ANC interview. The senator said the Senate investigation has already produced documents and witnesses that would back up his claims of alleged corruption in Makati when Binay was still mayor.
