The change must start from Lagos. Positive Change, JK is OK. In the past 16 years from Alliance for Democracy (AD) TO Action CONGRESS (AC) and is offshoot action congress of Nigeria, to APC led government and governance it is tale of woe and betrayal of our people, no water to drink, creation of massive unemployment by government decision and action, harassment, intimidation, seizure of traders wears, terrorism by government agencies. Despite the much economic resources and investment opportunity abound in Lagos state, huge internally generated revenue and federal allocation, you will agreed with me that there is massive unemployment in the state, over 3 million graduate are unemployed in Lagos today, tens of thousands of both university, polytechnic and other higher institution are graduating into the unemployment market every year and hundreds of thousands of secondary school leaver are graduating every year, 80 percent of them cannot get admission to higher institution they are rooming the street of Lagos. This is a serious problem, for the past 16 years the APC led government is not concretely addressing this problem. In education the only university own by the state is in total collapse, 24 of the course offer by the university have been dis-accredited by the National University Commission, this is due to lack of resource personal, inadequate staff, lack of necessary educational infrastructure etc occasion by the APC led government ineffectiveness, insensitivity and failure of government and governance. In health the ACN led government is in confusion, they promise and profess free heath for Lagosian but in truth our people paid for bed, for drug even for drinking water at the state own hospital, a government of lies and deceit. Lack of adequate benefit and care for the medical and non medical staff of the state own hospital, 30 people died due to the doctors strike in the state, despite this APC led government see no reason to come to term with the request of the striking Doctor, this is inhuman, irresponsible and irresponsive on the part of government to the plight of our people. A government that does not care about the welfare and well being of the people, the common people that use the public hospital. It is criminal. In infrastructure : market, shops, business and residential premises of our people are being demolished without adequate compensation or resettlement, people are being thrown to the unemployment market every day, their business and sources of livelihood destroyed, made homeless by government that profess to care for them. This in turn has increase the level of insecurity in the state; it is a tale of woe and betrayal of our people, creation of massive unemployment by government decision and action. Harassment, intimidation, seizure of trader wears terrorism by government agencies. This is not Governance. Misplace priority: Budget and budget making in the present Lagos State including the local government is largely the prerogative of few bureaucrat, citizen especially those at the community level are rarely involve in the all important policy making project, policies are made for the citizen by this selected few, many of whom never visited the communities for decades. Much of what has been called development has not produce any human development but human retardation and stagnation because human being who suppose to develop have no say in the policies and program formulation and implementation, at the level of politics and level of government, the policies and programs are simply worked out and imposed by the few from the top. APC led government and governance for the past 16 years is a dictatorial and imposition government, promoting human retardation and stagnation. Giving this situation it is very critical for us to create alternative platform to rescue our people and prevent further degeneration and for a life of dignity for our people. JK is OK
