The conversation for change and redemption is in every bedroom, every town, and in all communities across Cross River. It is a loud discuss in the hearts of many, even amongst those very loyal PDP members who will in the end vote outside of their party for Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo. The word on the streets of our towns and villages is change and redemption. Liberation for the people is just around! Our people are tired of the deception presented to them over a prolong period of time, they yorn for a stronger alternative, and Ugbo with all candidates under Cross River State Labour Party present a promise in the form of an agenda for change and redemption. They seek our collective mandate to deliver. I stand here to persuade you that Ugbo will deliver the needful change and redemption. I urge everyone to see Ugbos promise as a rescue mission for Cross River. To this end, allow me the opportunity on behalf of Ugbo to thank you all for entrusting him with a chance to deliver our people. Ugbo and the labour Party leadership in our beautiful Cross River will work tirelessly in the rescue mission of our people. I thank you for renewing faith with the labour party - an alternative political party, a party for the common man, woman and child; the only party that will continue to fight for justice and the rights of our people to self expression and move Cross River forward ever. Strongly considering the current circumstances in the state, Ugbo will inherite a State where the government no longer respect the wishes of the people; where the government has lost touch with the ordinary person; where those who the people sweated to educate through tax payers money now throw just rice to them as compensation for their support without water to drink afterwards. Ugbo is prepared with his team of Labour candidates across our grateful land to stop this tide of disrespect to the will of the common man; He will ensure our state government is near and dear to the people with his peoples oriented policies on funding edecation, investment in agriculture, people engineered housing policy, restructuring our health care system, and giving local governance the need authority for the general well being of economic growth as due governing powers will be decentralized to enable for job creation through local government industrial sector development. With Ugbo, Cross River will know better roads for our tourism industry, improved electricity which is the central system to any improvement in the state attempts to industrialize many sectors, and more so improve on our water services quality for our Rural Communities. Our people will know in Ugbo, there is a governor you his thinking for them, and this is why wherever Ugbo goes, the people applaud him; even little children see Ugbo as their friend, and that is why they recognize him; the youth call him cross rivers best option -for he is always with them, and they see him as they see their favourite football players; they see him as they see a caring father because he has shown to them he cares for their future; they do not want a continuation to the disrespect and deception of the PDP led government under Senator Ayade-an Imoke imposition candidate. In Ugbo and labour our people see a brighter future, while in the Cross River State PDP, they see a broken past full of disrespect and deceptive practices -were the currency of exchange remains just that: disrespect and deception. Ours is a new Cross River ready to take its rightful place on the world stage; we cannot afford the luxury of continuing on a road built with leaders who betray state employees with delays in monthly salaries, who betray colleagues for personal interest; who disrespect elders and chiefs; who disrespect court orders in respect to electoral laws of this country; who play monopoly over state media broadcasting; who do not even have the support of the majority of the people of their own party. It is time for a new alternative direction. We have seen the usage of ethnic card played as the exclusive property of some in State government. We say no way, no ethnic bigotry as the property of any political individual, and Ugbo doesnt believe in that. People are free to belong to any political party; Ugbo will protect that right; Ugbo will prevent people from intimidating people. Ugbo will be campaigning with zeal everywhere in Cross River. He is attracting people of every group and ethnic orientation into labour party. Yes we face challenges; but our people know that we do not run away from challenges; the incoming Labour government in Cross River under Ugbo is going to be one of action; it will be a friend to all; while we still have some problems to solve, we are mission focus to rescue the state. The transformation has begun, and by Gods grace, we will continue with it. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for opening your mind to the new alternative and hopefully letting labour party and Ugbo serve you as the next government. I thank labour for nominating Ugbo and giving Cross Riverians a chance with him to rescue the betrayed journey to prosperity. Vote for Ugbo because he has the will and ability to do more for our business women with his small enterprise scheme. He will do more for our fish farm industry. He will do more for our teachers, engineers, nurses, doctors, artists and drivers all over the state. Vote for Ugbo, for he has a record of doing more by bringing investments and jobs to this country; he will do more to bring more investments and jobs to Cross River - his record at the National Planning Commission speaks for itself; he will do more for democracy and deepen it here in Cross River; he will do more for human rights and freedom; vote for Ugbo, he will do more for the youth by creating jobs; Ugbo needs more of your votes to enable him do more for all of us. The Ugbo Agenda for Prosperity starts with his rescue mission. His emphasizes will be on giving skills to our jobless undergraduates; creating job opportunities for our people through induced incentives; attracting more investments; more support to agriculture so that farmers can diversify what they grow and make money out of their farms; he will establish more banks in our small Rural communities like Ugep were only one major bank operates -by working with the banking industry. And Ugbo will ensure that the ordinary man and woman gets access to capital to start ups and develop their businesses. His record in the last four years at the National Planning is visible, and his plans for the next four years are in his five point agenda; above all, Ugbo will have a track record of keeping promises. Vote Ugbo, he will do more to keep his promise on the agenda for prosperity as he kept the promise of change at the National Planning Commission. Together we can achieved a lot in the next four years. Ugbo is asking you to do more, he will do more and we will do more to build a better Cross River. Fellow Cross Riverians, vote for Ugbo to ensure our march from inaction of intentions which had paralyzed our state to the forward thinking actions-better-than-intentions philosophy that is bringing change we can see. Vote Ugbo to ensure that those who mortgaged the integrity of Cross River and used the bullets of deception to force their will on the people will never be rewarded with the highest post in the land. Vote for Ugbo to stop those who think that road networks and free health care are a waste; they should not be given a chance to take us back to the broken past of broken road projects, of a broken health care system, and of broken hopes. Vote for Ugbo, he will do more to bring hope and pride to our state. Vote for Ugbo because he will do so much better than the alternatives -it would be a cross river tragedy to let the alternative imposed on us to squander our state resources to pay back their political godfathers and other incurred expenditures.
