The country of Ghana does not cease to amaze me. These people, although they have barely anything, have the look of hope on their faces. They work hard and are extremely kind and good to everyone despite all the bad things in their country. Today I bought ice cream for a group of kids and the expressions on their faces were unforgettable. To think, a child told me he only gets this treat once a year, if at all , yet so many people in this world take it for granted. It really has changed my view on things and made me realize how lucky so many of us are. Some people are so quick to say ignorant comments about West Africa and the people, but please think twice and do your research. I am truly blessed to have been able to come here. It has opened my eyes to so much.
