The crew at Yarmouth Lifeboat Station have got me safely back to the mainland! Legends- thank you so much guys. Mixed emotions. Sad to leave this place- its been special for all different reasons and is why Ive been here for a week longer than I had anticipated. But excited to get walking west again towards Cornwall. Reaching The Needles last night felt like the end of the first chapter of this walk- I dont know whether it was just because I hadnt eaten that day but I drank a bottle of wine and felt very drunk- watched the sunset, remembered so many of the people Id met over the past 60 days, I didnt see a single person up there and I dunno, Ive come to realise since being on the IOW that this walk has become a bit of a personal or spiritual journey. Its why I think Im gunna fill in some gaps and finish up writing whats happened so far and maybe release it as a free Ebook or whatever, soon. But I dunno. Tonight was awesome.
