The crowd cheers, and everybody waves their flags frantically, desperately wanting to show their passion to the great leader, as he walks on stage. Yes, Imran Khan! I try to listen to every single one of his speeches, because in every single word, every single syllable, he enlightens us. He tells us something new, something different, something we havent all heard before. Because what have we heard before? Promises: I will do this, I will do that. Difference in IKs speeches? He replaces the I with we. He speaks to us as a nation and he speaks as if he is part of that nation. Which is how every single leader should speak. He tells us about our rights, our aspirations, our dreams for a good country. He puts it all effortlessly into words. Ever since I was a child, I loved Imran Khan. I was still one of those you thought hes different and that one day, he will make an impact on us all. His charisma, his eloquence, left an impact on me. And then, he turned his words into a reality, when he came into power in kpk. What did he do? Everybody questions. My question is, What DIDNT he do? He finally brought justice and peace and calm into a terror struck province. He made sure that nobody would have to sleep at night with an empty stomach, no running water, no electricity, and most importantly, no hope ever again. He turned the police into a team of highly qualified officials, struggling to give justice to the common man. He started Tameer-e-School to bring the light of education into a land of darkness and ignorance. He started countless other projects, and Pervaiz Khattak, in my mind an equally admirable man, carried all of them out. And now, the azadi march. The way he introduces examples from revolutions and politics in other countries and effortlessly weaves them into his considerate tone is exceptional. The way he tells us about new words: conflict of interest, kleptocracy etc. The way he narrates his personal experiences, and his emotional difficulties in the years before and after his marriage, sometimes reduces me to tears. What people fail to understand is, that this isnt anarchy and mere stupidity. Its a revolution. Because THIS IS HOW REVOLUTIONS START. They dont start by people sitting at home and filing cases knowing full well that nobody will listen. Its when they come out for their rights and yell and scream in fury, because they now know what rights actually are. Reading a mere critical comment on Facebook about Imran Khan fires me up. WHAT MORE PROOF DO YOU WANT OF HIS GENUINE PATRIOTISM? Because trust me, I could come up with a never-ending list. And every time that great leader speaks, he gives me another reason to support him. Before making foundation less accusations, why dont you actually see it all with a neutral light for once? Every one is entitled to opinions, but after all this barbarity by the people of our National Assembly, you should change your mind for the good of the country. Imran Khan might not be perfect, but thats what makes him so perfect. His humanity, his errors, his difficulties. Hes the embodiment of a true leader. And Allah is with us. Allah is always with us.
