The current government must go back to the drawing board and get their acts rights before time runs out for them-this is a friendly advice for the government. They presented themselves to Ghanians that they are capable of ruling and fixing the economy making all of us happy.Ghanians have now gone past the stage of passing the buck to others in explaining away inefficiency and things that should have been done and are not being done.A little bit of history will help us here. You see when former president Rawlings overthrew the Limann administration he said that Ghanaian hospitals were turned into graveyards and he was prepared to put himself at stake if his second attempt at improving the lot of the people failed.Nineteen years of power saw his administration bringing CASH AND CARRY SYSTEM in our hospital administration leading to deaths needlessly. In fact while his counterpart Mahathir Mohammed of Malaysia turned his economy around and was even going to the moon, former president Rawlings was busy trying to fix schools under trees and our road infrastructure and searching for political opponents.Did we go or come. Then president Kufour came and said that our debt levels were orpipipiipii,he left with himself saying that the economy is the best. His regime still had to clear schools under trees, road networks in deplorable states and worsened the plight of Ghanians when he increased fuel from sixty pesewas to five cedis. And yet the economy was the best when he left according to him. Then came former president Mills with lots of promises and assurances that things will be ok-did we see the changes he advocated for? Then midway he entered into the church triumphant. And current president Mahama took over and retained power with the promise to fix the economy of Ghana. In fact President Mahama said I am working for you.Mr president in your case you have absolutely nobody to blame because you succeeded your own self,so no turning back,as others were fortunate to do. You must work for the people as you promised. We all appreciate the problems at hand but you are working with an economist and therefore as a communicator you must tell us the reality on the ground.Ghanians are watching and dont forget 2016 is so near that i want to believe that you must work 19 hours a day to fix the economy.Your task is herculean because you have an added task of bridging the gap between the north and the rest of the country. This government must stop these promises and get down to work for the betterment of the country and her citizenry.I want to still believe that something best may come out.But Mr president we have no time to waste and we are results hungry and time is fast running out.ACT NOW BIG BROTHER DAMANI(as the Walas will call you)
