The current warning on a yellowstone site reads: There has been some scary bear activity on backcountry campsites this past week. A hiker reported a territorial bear grazing near his site (2S4 on Slough Creek Trail) all night. It even charged the campsite at one point from the opposite side of the creek. Multiple fire pits in the northwest corner (accessed by 191) have been dug out by bears as well, and a carcass on the Yellowstone River Trail has seen increased bear activity. PLEASE be Bear Aware, safe, and responsible. Always carry bear spray! Lets see, first warning, well i am that hiker, second warning, thats where im camping this weekend, third warning, well i was just there last week. The bears seem to be following me.
