The damage John Kerry did, the pain and suffering caused to American veterans of the Vietnam War, their friends and loved ones, will never be forgotten by me and should never be forgotten by anyone. Under oath, in official testimony before Congress, this man testified that he personally committed atrocities, killing innocent men, women and children, when he was serving in the US Military in Vietnam, which is bad enough, but this man went further to testify that an awful lot of other Americans in uniform during this war did the same thing. As someone from that era, I was appalled to hear such testimony, and for a long time his testimony colored, in a bad way, my opinion and the opinion of many, many Americans of so many veterans of that era. His testimony was a primary reason why so many American veterans of that era were not warmly welcomed back from this war, and who will ever know the number of Vietnam Veterans who suffered, even to the point of taking their own lives, because of the way they were treated by this country. All veterans, with the exception of those who were dishonorably discharged or otherwise committed atrocities while in the military, are heroes. This man disparaged all veterans with his testimony before Congress. He may or may have not served honorably while serving in the military, but even if he did heroic things while serving in uniform, he is an admitted war criminal and his testimony attempted to deflect and/or distract from his own admitted war crimes by claiming that he was only one of many or even most who committed the same war crimes. I wont say shame on him. I say damn him. To think the Liberal/Progressive/Democrat Party once nominated an admitted war criminal as its nominee, knowing at the time he was a war criminal, based on his own testimony, for President is a shame on every Democrat and certainly everyone who voted for him for President. Again, I must say, damn him.
