The day Robin Williams played the Beacon, I showed up early for work and purposefully hung around the stage though I had no true purpose to be there. Mr. Williams was wrapping up his rehersal before his New York debute and when he had finished he got my attention. Think he could tell how much itd mean to me to talk to him and he indulged. He told me how hed walk by the Beacon every day on his was to class at Juliard and would always tell himself that one day hed be able to afford to go inside, and there he was about to take the stage, about to make 4000 hardened New Yorkers piss themselves with laughter, about to live out a dream. Well, it was my dream as a child and teen to meet Robin Williams, so we both got to accomplish something wed never thought possible that night. Thanks for the encouraging words, the laughs, and for making all our dreams come true on and off screen, time and time again.....Below is a picture of Robin and our security guards gf, and also of an apparently very somber me after the show. Guess I was sad the laughing had stopped.
