The day had started with news on the appointment of big boss - TopicsExpress

The day had started with news on the appointment of big boss Stephen Okechukwu Keshi as head coach of the Super Eagles. A Coach renowned for his effectiveness rather than attractiveness, it wasnt a news that was going to fill the air with too much excitement. Keshi would rather go to the mills than paint or carve his results, he could grind out any result. A union consummated in mars, Keshi possessed an unrepentant penchant for the grinding machine. A mistress he took wherever he went, Keshis romance with his football methodology followed him to Mali and Togo before eventually landing him in Nigeria. Siasia the peoples darling had just committed an abomination and journalists were still trying to escape from the envelope of disappointment-hemorrhage in which they had just been confiscated. Everyone wondered what direction the nation was going to turn as few eminent people backed the voice for the trial of another indigenous coach which had cried out from the wilderness. Keshi was the answer. The idea was good, looking at the state of the Eagles at that time, the level of indiscipline which was at a disturbing high and how long continental success had eluded the team, there was definitely a need for an urgent surgery. Osaze was dropped and I openly defended the decision on air in Dec 2012 under the stewardship of Ken Ochonogor although Football Scientists like myself and a few others discovered a caveat in the just begotten NFF/Keshi affair - HISTORY. We feared for the day his own boys would become big boys. Success came quite early and that which worked for him began working against him - His own boys became big boys. Other variables of internal politics could have contributed their own share of influence but one thing has remained constant, the Eagles have stalled under Keshi since mid last year. As much as he is a fine coach, the steam is gone and its time to move forward. A lot of people will tell u its time for the NFF and Keshi to part ways once for all. But then I ask, why is Amaju silent?
