The day we had to take Lloyd back to the hospital, the day he didnt come back home with us... my shoe broke so I called a friend to bring me another pair. She brings me a pair flipflops. And, almost six years later, I still have those flipflops! Ive never worn them again. Ive simply just kept them with the memories of that day. Along with those flipflops, Ive also kept the shirt I had on that day, another shirt that Roxann had bought me while I stayed at OU with him and MANY more items Ive felt the need to keep (like gallstones, lol!) I say that to say this... Stefani, was helping me go through my upstairs yesterday. As we came across these items mention above, I gave her my reasons as to why I could not get rid of them. With that look of youre kidding me, right? she tossed them into the give away pile. And, when she wasnt looking I took them back out, lol. The kicker is this... she tosses me an old pair of flipflops and says, I suppose you wore these the day after, huh?! I looked at her in awe for that hit hard and then I laughed my butt off! Its time to let go... Im so glad I can finally do so with laughter and a smile! I thank you Stefani for it was your words that made me realize ... Its just stuff, Ill always have my memories. I love you baby girl!
