The day went fairly smooth; I had a short 30 minute bought with nausea as I ate breakfast? Not sure what the deal was I really wasn’t over thinking the race and it passed pretty quickly allowing me to finish eating! The morning workouts went fine, our swim only lasted about 12 minutes (just under half a mile) and we did a quick 16 minute spin on the bikes (5.5 miles) into the Village roundabout and back. Our equipment drop was super smooth; we rolled the bikes into Transition where they photographed each bike as you went in. I lucked out and drew an end spot on the bike rack; I’m the first bike on the main isle for my row! After the bike drop we moved into our bike and run bag drop off. All the bags get lined up by number on the floor so it’ll be a maze for sure on race day! (Hope I don’t come out wearing someone else’s gear!) We ended the visit with a quick walk of the transition "In" and "Outs" then headed back to the room for food! Lunch went fine, as did snacking between everything so no additional issues like breakfast! We hung out a bit then headed out to drive the long “Route du Cure Labelle” or highway 117 segment of the bike route. It looks like about 3000 feet of climb along this stretch so I’m starting to think a slower speed on the bike is almost a most now that we’ve driven everything, it’s also supposed to be high 70s and clear for the run start which is pretty warm for a marathon off the tail of our morning. That’s the recap, it’s time to take on some dinner and finish our little bit of fluid prep and body marking then nothing but lay about until 4:30 - 4:45 when all the fun starts rolling! I’ll catch you all up on the backend! Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate all your support!
