The death of Robin Williams has thrust the subject of depression and mental health into the light of the national conscious again... The problem with this is that it only stays there for as long as the media focus stays there... This subject is very close to my heart and needs to a priority. The public safety sector especially needs to keep mental health in a spotlight... I have had my struggles with depression and PTSD... I have been lucky enough to have had people around me who have been aware of these crisis times and been able to intervene...
