The decision by the totally unrepresentative Grand Jury in - TopicsExpress

The decision by the totally unrepresentative Grand Jury in Ferguson USA, not to indict the police officer who gunned down an unarmed man, is a deliberate provocation. The decision to release the news at night, makes it doubly certain that the Jury and the racist police wanted a riot. Social tension is gathering all over the USA and it doesnt just affect Black working class people, but people of all races and colours. Such tension is generating a wave of strikes across the USA and it is this which the US ruling class fears the most. They can handle isolated riots, but a wave of strikes is a different animal altogether and could pave the way for a general strike, which would pose the question of power. It is clear that the intention was to spark a riot in a predominantly black area, so as to divide them from the white working class. The same tactic was used in Ireland during the 1920s, when a riot was engineered in a predominantly Catholic area. The plan was drawn up by a lawyer named Carson and was used by the British Army. The result was bloody reaction and bloodshed between Catholics and Protestants which paved the way for Ireland to be partitioned, a condition which maintains to this day. The US ruling class and their representatives, on Grand Juries and in the police, would happily see destructive riots and use them as an excuse to turn out the heavily armed national guard. They would rather this than tolerate for one more day, the working class unity between blacks and whites, which has been building and gathering strength. This will not stop the rise of the working class, but it will cause problems. It is essential to remember the names of the real criminals so they can be brought to justice at a later date.
