The details of the DSTV Premier Basketball League Final 8 Playoffs are trickling in and your truly, @bballnaija is here with the latest update. The Final 8 as it is popularly called will be a 7 day event with the first jump ball on Sunday 13th July and the final match on Saturday, the 19th.The first group games to be played will be between the defending champions - Kano Pillars and Union Bank while Col Ahmedus Dodan Warriors will slug it down with the Plateau Peaks. In Group B, title contenders and Atlantic Conference champions Lagos Islanders will play the newly joined Gombe Bulls and Senator David Marks Mentors will play the Oluyole Warriors. The group games will be played from Sunday to Tuesday after which the players get to rest on Wednesday, the 16th . There will be classification games between the two bottom teams of each group on Thursday, the 17th while the top two teams of the groups will play the semi-finals on Friday, the 18th. The champions of the 2014 DSTV Premier Basketball League will be named on Saturday after the championship match at 4pm. Can Kano Pillars defend their title?
