The effects of bullying can last for decades after children leave the playground, according to a new study that measured the psychological impacts on children exposed to bullying between the ages of 7 and 11. Childhood bullying victimization was associated with economic hardship, poor perceived quality of life, and a lack of social relationships—issues visible for about four decades after the bullying had occurred.
