The entire NCA family is deeply saddened by the loss of Sophia Porter, a camp instructor who was killed in a car accident early this morning. Sophia graduated from Gentry High School in Gentry, Arkansas, and planned to attend the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, where she was also an incoming member of the cheerleading team. A first year staffer, Sophia was recently voted Top Rookie by staff veterans and was already a favorite with campers and coaches. Sophia will be remembered as a talented and loving instructor, friend and cheerleader. Our hearts go out to her family, friends and fellow staff members.
