**The eternality of God** ..from everlasting to everlasting you are God - psalm 90:2b) Moses declared from everlasting to everlasting you are God, the word everlasting is not the same as eternity, everlasting is to have a starting point and continue on forever, while eternity is to never had a starting point. Angels are everlasting, the redeemed are everlasting, while God and only God is eternal. Time marks the beginning of created existence, and because God never began to exist, time cannot bind Him to a schedule or agenda. "Began" is a time word, and has no personal meaning for the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity. God declares in Ex. 3:14 "I AM THAT I AM" this means that God exist in the past, present, and future. He is above time, Lord over time. When time words occur in the bible they refer to our time, not to His. God dwell in eternity, but time dwells in God. He is not affected by our succession of events or moments. It is easy to grasp that God was there in the beginning, but to grasp that He was there at the beginning and at the end at the same time is hard to think about. "I am the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega" says Jesus. Time is defined to my knowledge "a succession of events" it is the way we account for things, seasons, keep our schedules, plan, and holdays. Changes take place but not all at once they happen in a succession of moments. We wait and wait for the the sun to set or rise, we watch clocks, we use time-terms "before, began, after, later. But God is not compelled to wait, to Him everything that will happen has already happened and reveals these secrets to His prophets. This is why God can , say"there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning" He sees the end from the beginning from one view!
