The evening after Christmas as I was driving Hubby to the E.R. I - TopicsExpress

The evening after Christmas as I was driving Hubby to the E.R. I was full of fear and worry and then that still quite voice in my heart was saying fear not my daughter, Ive got this. As we entered the E.R. the room was packed so tight it looked as if we might not ever get seen by a doctor...so thinking about God having the situation I walked up to the window and told the lady behind it I was bringing in my husband who was short of breath, having chest pains and had a heart attack in 2005. She looked up and turned to the nurse behind her and told her to grab a wheelchair quickly, so by the time I got Hubby to the window there was a nurse with the wheelchair and we were wheeled to the back immediately. Within seconds nurses and doctors were there hooking Hubby up to monitors and taking blood. The nurses said it had been a madhouse all day and there were no beds...I somehow knew God still had this and sure enough there was one bed available in the cardiac observation unit and it had Hubbys name on it. The doctors and nurses worked around the clock that first night evaluating Hubbys condition and what they needed to do to help him out. The staff seemed to be hand picked, the 7 on and 7 off crew, were some of the most competent and compassionate folks Ive ever seen in a hospital. The next day I found out the man who was sitting in a room down the hall monitoring all the things Hubby was hooked up to was one of my best friends from High School. Hubby and I bonded with the staff and they were there for us at every turn. The doctors were amazed by Hubbys case they had never gotten 100 pounds of fluid off of a patient with congestive heart failure ever! They were amazed that he survived to get to the hospital and how well they were able to manage his health needs and I was confident in what I had heard in my heart...fear not my daughter, Ive got this~
