The evenings clouds, skirting the the horizon are being back lit by the sun now an hour out from sunset, so what faces me are the shadows that front them while their backgrounds are luminous, a white of contrast to the grey in front. Above them the sky is dream crayon blue. The clouds float like specters, shapes stretch and compress into each other formless but the contrasts give them a texture that renders them solid none the less. Except for the one formation that still looks like the Hawaiian Islands.
