The eyewitness to the Byron shark attack seemed a pretty switched on guy ... not mention very brave for wading in to pull the victim ashore. He said he saw a 2m shark involved in the attack. Some time later media choppers fly over the area and film a 4m great white and the media decides that shark is the culprit. If a 4m great white had attacked the victim I think his injuries would have been far greater than a bite on the leg causing a severed artery which resulted in death. Im suspecting a bull shark that close inshore and maybe the great white showed up after being attracted by the blood in the water. The autopsy will tell more. I make this comment with much respect to the victims family.
