The fact that Key and Collins has cherry picked this one particular issue and that they are advocating for an enquiry means that they KNOW that there is no substantiation for this particular event. It wasnt in Nicky Hagers book - there will be a reason for that. He is very thorough and wouldnt have published something without being able to verify it. This will be the way that National gets Collins back in government, because they are already confident that any investigation will clear her. This is a ruse! They will focus the inquiry so narrowly as to clear her name and she will never have to answer to the other serious allegations against her. Listen to the language that John Key is using. His conversation is very carefully couched.
