The fact that we dont see it happen does not mean that it doesnt/that we are not part of it. Really, the reason that we can afford not to have to deal with the consequences of our actions with regards to eating animals, is that it is others less fortunate and more disadvantaged than us that take care of that dirty and painful (in many ways) work for us-nowadays more than likely undocumented migrants, from Latin America (historically many other disadvantaged and oppressed groups, including African Americans and migrants from other regions of the world, such as Eastern Europeans and Asians. Like, I always say, I am not opposed to anyone eating meat but we need to understand the true costs of it and be willing to pay them and that means knowing where it comes from and how it was produced.
