The faculty are delighted to announce our new 1st/2nd grade class teacher for the Fall will be Mr. Ireneo de Leon, who has been interviewing this week. Mr. de Leon will be immigrating with his wife, Nerissa, and 4-year old daughter, Irene, from Cebu city in the Philippines. Mr. de Leon and his wife have been integral members of a Waldorf Early Childhood program in Cebu where Mrs. de Leon is one of their lead early childhood teachers. Mr. de Leon has been a teacher and administrator in private schools in the Philippines for many years and has been studying the work of Rudolf Steiner and attending formal trainings in the Philippines on Waldorf education during the past year. He has worked as an independent teacher to students using Waldorf teaching methods.
