The fence repair man insisted these hinges are installed correctly while I say they are installed backwards. To me, the tall vertical part of the hinge should be on the tall vertical post, while the skinny horizontal portion of the hinge should be bolted on the skinny horizontal portion of the gate. Thus none of the bolt holes will be left open which I consider unacceptable strength wise and also not aesthetically pleasing. Opinions?
