The fight is on the same side of the fence. The very men who think there is nothing wrong in objectifying the woman are the same men who are opposed to lgbt and exhibit homophobia. In their world, gender identities are pecking orders: the dominant male, the suppressed or rejected male, the anti-male and the woman. This happens in nature. If these folks wish to use order of nature arguments against gay people, they will also think its perfectly natural to objectify the woman. After all, its the natural laws of attraction which lead to species propagation. Today is International Womens Day. Let us take a while to think about whether weve been going against nature for the past X number of decades in standing up for gender equality, and whether if we are, we should continue to objectify not just women but lgbt.
