The firestorm over 11 year old Sebastien De La Cruz singing the National Anthem is a disgrace. People are upset because he is Mexican American..."How dare he sing the Anthem?" When I was called to serve this country in a war, as well as millions of others, no one said I did not have the right to wear the uniform because I am Mexican American. Which is their label for me...I was born and raised in San Francisco I am an American!!!! As American as Sebastien De La Cruz!!!! Sebastien: You made us proud!!!! Haters: Because I am better than that, I will not mention your mother...and I can say it in many languages...No les voy a mentar la madre!!!!!!
