The first SUPER MOON of 2015 occurs as the NEW MOON on January 20 at 7:15 am CST ( 8:15 EST; 9:15 PST) in 0 degrees of Aquarius. This NEW MOON packs an extra power punch lining up with the SUN and MOON at perigee (closest to the EARTH), making it appear 30% larger and brighter than other MOONS. This NEW MOON bolts in with lightening Aquarian intensity challenging us to find the opportunity of these times to inspire and innovate with new creative ideas fueled by trusting our intuition. Aquarius has provided a fresh start in the New Year. The time of the NEW MOON is optimum for manifestation of all the dreams and intention we have been conjuring up for our future. Now is the time to fortify them with the power of our intuitive self knowledge and clear authenticity fueled by the original electric power of freedom loving Aquarian ruler, Uranus, sitting on the South Node. Once and for all break free of old history or wounds and burst forth. The water is fresh and clear and flowing freely to start anew. However, Mercury, just a few degrees away, also in Aquarius, turns retrograde a day later, January 21. Cautioning, this is a time to slow down a bit and review all ideas, projects, concerns, relationships - depending on where Aquarius falls in our chart. Rethinking or revision will be required. It is not a time to commit to anything in finality. MERCURY remains retrograde until it turns direct February 11. It is best to assure we have considered all areas, especially those having to do with communication in any form, in detail, including travel.
