The following statement does not reflect the opinions of my friends, family or whomever else.... Seriously NO school tomorrow due to the cold!? Thank the good Lord above I wasnt raised as a lil sissy-la-la. No early outs or cancellations due to heat or cold. All the scools in this area, as far as i know, have both heat and air conditioning. Days off because of parent-teacher conferences or teacher in-services. No putting up with bomb threats. Im sorry you didnt make the team, squad, group, etc. NO there wont be any, well if my kid cant be on there Im gonna sue you. You worked harder to make it next time or found something better suited for you. If you got in trouble you went to the pricipals office and got your lil ass paddled. Then another paddling when you got home. Theres a huge difference between a beating/abuse (which i do not condone) and a spanking. Back talking your elders, no matter who they were. You helped your parents, grandparents, neighbors or strangers when things needed to be done. NO, that didnt require something expected in return. Just the feeling of pride for helping out. We didnt complain about being bored. My phone doesnt work, I want an ipad, theres nothing on tv, Im going here or there. Dont spank me or make me behave or Ill call a number and whine about it. We did our chores, helped with taking care of siblings, went to school. Yes we hated it at times but you did it without acting like a freaking little brat. The minute my chores and homework was done...I was outside. Riding bikes, roller skating, baby sitting, tag, dodge ball, just sitting under a tree til I heard my named being called to come home or my curfew. Mud pies, skipping rope, etc. Living life. STOP MAKING EXCUSES AS TO WHY WE ARE RAISING A SOCIETY OF LIL BRATS, SISSY-LA-LAS, KILLERS. WE SURVIVED AND SO WILL THEY. WITH RESPECT, MANNERS AND MAYBE SOME DAMN BRAINS.
