A must to read for all pg aspirants... Dear medicos. .. The tough time every MBBS student crosses in his carrier is at three point... 1. Passing the first MBBS 2. Passing the final MBBS 3. Getting the PG which u like the most... I AM HIGHLIGHTING HERE MY EXPERIENCE OF POINT 3.... With dream to get a MS general surgery when I started to prepare 1. When getting started to prepare for PG... to get a good company after our CRRI is the most important step.. A very poor unco operative friend for reading will spoil your next one year of preparation.... A good study partner must be a good motivator and optimistic person...If he is a depressive fellow...you are finished... I HAD THE POOR COMPANY DURING MY PG PREPARATION.. 2. Economically you will be hit from all sides if you are from a middle class...food, Pg books, application fees, travel for exams...One stage will come u will be ashamed to ask your parents for money...especially at one stage when ur parents get frustrated asking the results after every exam...naturally as they pay they will ask... I NEVER HAD GOT A RANK IN AIIMS, Pgi or AIPG.etc ..and had to struggle with only 1000 rs per month...infact had no money to join any coaching centre... 3. Deviations from our routine preparation...We usually sit and read for one pg exam...suddenly the tamilnadu govt will stimulate us with service exams...We may feel that our life will be settled if we get tnpsc...super salary...service quota after 2 years...etc..All these thoughts will brain wash you and naturally some third man may stimulate you telling service seats are sold in back door and he will get u one...AT A REASONABLE RATE... I AM A PREY FOR THAT TOO....ATLAST NO BACK DOOR OPENED AND THOSE WHO READ WELL GOT TNPSC. .. ( Note: Tnpsc was most opted in those days more than a PG...MRB nowadays is only an ointment for PG exam injured people...) 4. Depressions one by one... The depression starts as the November Aiims result start coming...Our rank will not be there even in the last few...next PGI , Next AIPG....We get more depressed if someone who is reading very poorly with us and getting a seat in some of the exams... A FEW OF MY FRIENDS GOT IN AIPG... 5. When preparing for TNPG with last one ball in your hand...The shivering, palpitation and sleeplessness and the feel you get that u need to prepare for one more year if u miss this ....no words can explain it..A Few may be in that stage now. . I was having no company to read for TNPG...whatever I read I feel I had forgotten... The story never ends.. As you all know....With one mark service mark even if you get 200 without service mark rank...Once tnpg final list comes you will have to search yours beyond 500... Yes I got 490 rank in tnpg.. Opted out of DCH, D ortho, MS ent and all non clinical which were available for my rank.. My dream is MS...wait list 30 in MS No hopes for my wait list... Packed up from Chennai to kottayam... Some more depressed guys joined me... Now the cycle starts....from point 1.... Luckily true luckily ... 2 months later 15 seats opened in coimbatore medical college MS seats...15 seats surrendered from AIPG... am the last candidate to join MS in 2004... But when I came out from KMC. .I am the university 1st mark in theory and 3rd mark in total and 1st mark from city... MCH sge most opted Mch after MS....its got the service rank 1 and total rank 2... To avoid the sufferings and to motivate a few who come to us we started the coaching centre for PG... started writing pg entrance books.. Getting a PG is not the GOAL...its your future life...you must not change your life which you had always dreamt... Joining a PG as you get that only is not the ideal thing..struggle and work for what you need...If I had to join some seat which was available at that time I am sure I would have spent the rest of life in a very pathetic state... I am not an example for toppers.. I am an example for those who never get what they want at every stage . This is dedicated to all those who lost in AIPG 2015 exam... Dont give up...There is a way for you... All the best...
