The following was mailed out to all the GMs registered at the Shaintar site; I am cross-posting here for anyone else interested in being involved. As well, anyone whos got a Content Contribution role from the Kickstarter should also get back to me (via email: seanpatfan {at} gmail) with the same basic information so we can start building from there. ~~~~~ Greetings, Shaintar Justice and Life Game Master, If you are receiving this, you were on the Master List for Grey Lanterns for the Shaintar site. If you arent a Game Master for a campaign, feel free to ignore the rest of this... or not, if you are inclined to help your GM get all this information together. If you have run/are running a campaign set in Shaintar, and you want to help integrate whats happened so far into our Campaign Bible and the official continuity, I need you to do me two favors. The first is to go through the following questions (modified from the GM Memo I posted earlier: shaintar/?q=node/1070), giving me basic pinpoint information I can use to establish your contributions into the bigger picture. Dont feel like you have to be intricately detailed; take the Dragnet approach, just the facts, and if I need more info, Ill ping you back on it. I dont want this to be a huge deal of work for anyone. Where Where is the Outpost or other base location for the Heroes? Give an indication of its general place on the map, if not obvious. Where are the Villains based or operating from? Do they have local bases of operations? Where are they coming in from, otherwise? Where are the other Key Locations for the campaign? Pretty much just a list of other important towns, villages, landmarks, key areas. Who Who are the Heroes? Which player characters and allied NPCs are featured in the campaign? Who are the Villains? Which factions or enemy nations are regularly involved? What kinds of monsters or villains tend to be featured? Any key, named foes? Who are the Affected? What kind of people are regularly affected by the actions of the Heroes and Villains? In other words, whats the makeup of the population of the campaign area? What other NPCs are important - ones who arent Villains, but not really Heroes either, just the key folks involved in the region? What What is the Status of the Outpost? What kind of things do the Rangers (or other Heroes of the campaign) regularly do? Whats their role in the region? What are the Goals of the Villains? What do the various factions and foes that regularly impact the area want? What are they trying to accomplish, or destroy? What is at Stake? If the Villains ever succeed, what would it mean for the region and beyond? When If you and your group have actually been keeping up with dates, fantastic? Can you please establish a brief Timeline of events? The date, followed by a classic one-three sentence Timeline entry of an event of importance. If youve not been tracking events, leave the date blank, but still do a sequential series of event statements as though for a Timeline and well figure out where it should go on the Campaign Bible Timeline. Anything else you wish to share is fine, but the above is what I really need. And I need it pretty soon. Basically, I need you to please try and get back to me with your information by March 12th. I can accept if after that, but the longer you wait, the harder it will be for me to guarantee all of it ends up where it needs to be (at least to start with) as the Bible and the wiki come together. ~~~ The other favor I need to ask of you is this. If you are still running an official campaign, please get it up on Obsidian Portal (https://obsidianportal/). Youll find all the information you need to set your campaign pages up correctly at this link (shaintar/?q=node/1054). If you cant see it, let us know so we can get you access to that section. Our quest to revolutionize shared campaign play continues on, and we are grateful to have your supportive part in it.
