The forthcoming compilation The Art of McCartney aims to be more than a tribute album. Dozens of artists, including Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, B.B. King Billy Joel, Smokey Robinson, Brian Wilson, Perry Ferrell, Dr. John, Jeff Lynne, Alice Cooper, Cat Stevens and Kiss have contributed covers to a collection that will celebrate McCartney’s entire career, from his early days in The Beatles to the present. The Cure has chipped in with its version of “Hello, Goodbye,” the band’s first new release in 6 years. The video below captures them (with James McCartney on keys) performing a rendition of The Beatles’ classic. The Art of McCartney will be available on November 18th.
