The fund raiser last night was typically SI. It started 2 hours late but had wonderful hospitality and lots of food and drink, dancing and speeches. The band was called the Outrageous Islanders. See the photos and see if you can pick them... After the speeches though there was a truly outrageous band. The venue was the Cowboy Grill. It is owned by Filipinos. At the end of the night it turns into a Filipino nightclub, complete with scantily clad Filipino singers who were singing renditions of cowboy songs. The locals who were there for the fund raiser had now seen anything like it! The highlight of the meal was the whole pig. I have included before and after photos. The fund raiser was to raise money for a fence around a local school. Some of the students from the school came and did some dances for us. I loved it especially the boys who wore traditional costume complete with trendy skater shoes! Their laces reflected in the lights very well I reckon!
