The funeral plans have been announced for the Johnson City Police Officer killed Monday on Harrison Street. David Smiths funeral will be held at 11 oclock Friday morning at Sarah Jane Johnson Church on Main Street in Johnson City. Street closures are expected from 9 oclock through 2 oclock that day, with limited access to UHS Medical Center during that time. Calling hours are being held from 4 to 7 oclock at Chase Funeral Home on Chenango Street in Port Dickinson, and burial will be held at the Chenango Valley Cemetery. Burial will be limited to family and local law enforcement. The Johnson City Police Department will also be holding a candlelight vigil outside their headquarters on Avenue C tonight at 7:30.
