The generosity over the last few days in South Australia has restored my faith in humanity! Even if you arent in the position to financially help, temporarily home people/pets or donate goods, you can help by; - Avoiding reposting information from unverified sources, this can cause unnecessary panic and fear which spreads like crazy and can put people in dangerous positions. - Keeping in contact with people who may be in the areas affected to ensure their safety or to check what assistance/resources they may need. If they need assistance, then call the emergency services for them. - Letting people know (from confirmed sources) about any recent warnings, they may not have social media etc to check themselves. - Keeping away from the areas in order to keep it clear for emergency services to do their jobs. - Offering support, or support contacts for people as they may not be coping too well. Keep a look out for the signs and remember that sometimes people dont show the signs of mental distress as well as other people. Sometimes people just need a chat to get it off their chest. Keep it up SA!
