The girls, which girls ? It all started with announcement that they were missing, missing or abducted, the military reported they have been rescued, the parents denied the rescue, sorry, some escaped from their captors, where are their names and profiles, make public their identity, no their identity cannot be made public for security reasons, mr Principal, mr commissioner, where are the names ? The school was razed down during the attack, no records left, arent they writing exams, WAEC, give us the lists of those sitting for the exam in the school, mr Governor said no release of names till get clearance from the military, surprisingly, CAN released the names, 165 +15, what !? 165 is too much, awareness have to be created, hashtag created, government pressured to #BringBackOurGirls, did the government abducted the girls ? The shout out travelled, world celebrities and leaders, posed with placards, to join the campaign, our local politicians from the opposition joined, some used Naira symbol instead of hash, the sit-up at unity fountain, parents form association, everyday the hashtags and the sit-up, making the government jittery, foreign moves in to help and locate the girls, hopes diminishes, the girls are in enclave, the combined forces of the military and the foreign friends cannot venture there ? Then, the magic wane, Malala, a Pakistani bullet victim was invited, she came and soft-talk the government, to bring back the girls, the government promised, pictures snapped with Malala, she went back to whence she come from richer. The parents of the girls invited, money exchanged hands, the parents went back home richer and happier with some short-changed. Suddenly the girls appear in Kano, with Hijab and explosives, to killed and bombed, have they being indoctrinated, have they being sold by their parents to do this dastardly act ? How do they left the Sambisa enclave, with military and security surrounding the area, were they shifted to Kano with helicopter or Hilux vans, anyway, the sit-up at unity fountain continue, waiting to see that the government or whoever that is responsible to bring back the girls, dead or alive, I cannot tell.
