The glory of men. I recently watched a survivalist show on netflix. I loved it and watched every episode. One of the things I loved about it, was how much it flipped everything upside down and inside out. The group of people were all intellectuals or handy in someway. There were men and women engineers, one man who had no education and could barely read, but he could sure fix things, a nurse, a doctor and so on and so forth. All of the key things for survival were done by the men. The women engineers tried to help a few times, but basically it was men who kept them alive. The absolute star of their surival? The man with no education but could fix everything. The academics sure had a rough time accepting his authority but quickly were forced to do so. The women huffed and hawed over the fact they were stuck back in the middle ages doing laundry and fixing food. In the end they realized their survival depended on each other. Fathers are important, nobody can take their place. As protectors, as providers, as leaders, they are fantastic. Sometimes when I am feeling emotionally worn out and beaten down, I see things all weird and upside down. Usually men *typically* can keep a clearer more rational picture and it is nothing short of glorious how their brains can logically solve problems that at least for me, go way over my head. Society is structured a bit so that the full need of real men, isnt always so apparant, but it is there nevertheless.
