The greatest joy in my work is to help students navigate the passage through high school and adolescence. Ive worked purposefully as an assistant principal in high school so that I can spend my days working directly with kids, teachers, and parents. A new challenge faces me now that Ive been asked to provide that support in another setting in our district. Im both excited and a wee bit nervous to go from the gigantic Sun Prairie High School to the very small Prairie Phoenix Academy where I will serve as Interim Principal of Alternative Programs. The sudden change means I dont get much chance to talk with my big high school family, so please know that you are on my mind. The support of community and staff for all of our students in Sun Prairie is a gift for our youth and I welcome the responsibility to care for them all. Adventures abound my friends, and change is not only constant, but an opportunity to learn and grow. Peace!
