The guys I work with, The Overview Institute, Frank White, & David Beaver are participating in a grant to send civilians into space and experience firsthand the shift in worldview experienced by astronauts known as the Overview effect. This project comes from a commitment to making the space experience accessible to as many people as possible. We know that aspects of spaceflight can cause a profound shift in perspective that positively influences the way people behave and impact the world.
