The holiday season is here again and many of you are getting ready to spend time with family and friends. I have been getting settled in at home after a GREAT year of touring the United States from coast to coast and trying to make sure that everyone on my list to give a gift to this year is taken care of. That is the reason for this email as I have a gift for YOU! Let me tell you a little bit about it..... Several years ago, I got the idea to do a Christmas song as it is one of my favorite times of the year. The problem that I ran into is that most of the time, in my genre of music, Christmas songs come out sounding very cheesy and somewhat gimmick-like. Every year at the end of my tour season, I find myself working on a Christmas song and never finishing it due to my dissatisfaction with the progress I had made on it. Well, I am happy to say that in December 2014, a good 4 years after I got the idea to do this, I have completed this song! The song is called Home For Christmas and can be downloaded for FREE from my BandCamp page: mrpchill.bandcamp Originally, I was going to sample the classic song Ill Be Home For Christmas from Bing Crosby, but every time I would try to put the music together, it sounded terrible. Not wanting to give up on the theme of the song, being home for Christmas, I worked out the beat for the song using NO samples from the timeless classic from Crosby, but instead reached out to my good friend and singer Julie Rush to sing a rendition of the song for the chorus.
