The holidays are upon us. This is just a reminder about live Christmas trees and the dangers of pine oils to most reptiles. Pine oils contain phenols which are used to make wood tar, cleaning products and creosote. They are very toxic in even small amounts to some reptiles. They can cause skin and scale irritations with contact and can cause acute toxicity if ingested. Its good to avoid contact between your reptiles and a live tree.
