The humble heart responds to correction with thanksgiving, praise, and adoration because it recognizes that God is gracious to correct us. God has no "need" to come and correct our behavior, yet He does. Receiving correction or rebuke from God (or possibly from other believers), takes a great amount of trust. Yet, that trust is necessary to continue building a strong foundation in Christ Jesus. We must trust that God IS, and will do all He has promised.
