The incredible Food and Cosplay came to MCM with their #notacosplayer campaign which Im proud to fully support. After doing my Slave Leia this was one of the many comments I received. The idea of this campaign is to bring awareness to the negatives, and make people realise that behind the cosplays, the masks and costumes there are actual people with feelings underneath it all. These people do hear and read your comments, and they can actually hurt, in some cases even make people want to hang up the capes and not want to continue. We as a community are meant to wear our geek badges with pride, so lets cut out the negativity and just support one another, in doing something we all love. I am proud of who I am, I am proud of the things I love and I enjoy to share my geekdoms with the world. But sometimes, those negative comments that I hear in passing, or read from this page...hurt.
