The incredible Whiskey had his appointment with the cancer specialist today! We didnt get the best news but it certainly wasnt the worst. He charmed all of the staff and (of course) showed his best sulking face while waiting to run some tests. The total for the consult and tests ran around $750 today, and its inevitable that he will need more treatment of some sort in the future. Were waiting for results on his lymph node biopsy, he had an ultrasound and it doesnt appear that the cancer has spread to his internal organs, although one of his lymph nodes was bigger than the other, which is why were waiting for the biopsy. Even if the lymph node biopsy comes back as not cancerous, the specialist did recommend we start oral chemotherapy because of the dirty margins of his previous tumor removal.
